More About Us...:
My husband and I met in 2000 and fell madly in love. On July 19, 2003 in front of our friends and family we said “I do” and haven’t looked back. Our profile picture is one of my favorite pictures from our wedding. It was taken during the prayer portion of our wedding, apparently someone wanted to make sure my eyes were closed. What he didn’t know is that he was the one caught with his eyes open. We then spent our honeymoon in San Francisco, where we were drawn to the Castro District. We loved being within a community where we felt comfortable to walk down the street while holding hands and even giving a quick peck on the lips. So, in that spirit I began looking for an online gay community site that is not about dating or sex. Let me tell you this was no small task. I finally found this site after almost giving up on the idea. My husband and I have a lot of loving friends and family, but they are all heterosexual. This is not to say that they are not accepting of us and our lifestyle, but I would like to expand our horizons a little within the gay community. We are a completely monogamous couple, and would like to find a couple with similar interests and ideals to talk with. So that is a little about us, now let me tell you a little about each of us.

I (Stan) am a residential designer. I discovered my passion for design when one of my good friends got me a job as a bookkeeper for an engineer in 2004. After alot of long days and a number of all nighters, I had taught myself to engineer and design residential houses. I do have to give credit to the designer and engineers that I worked for, because despite my lack of any formal training they continually pushed me to be better. Most of all though there are two people that deserve most of the credit. The first is my close friend who is also residential designer, who would constantly critique my designs and show me new ways to draw on nights and weeks. The second is my husband, because through it all he sacrificed time, spent many nights sleeping by himself, and through it all has been very supportive. I am happy to say though that as of 2006 I opened my own design firm and let me tell you it has been a huge learning experience. When I am not at my computer you can find me begging my husband to go outdoors to mountain bike, camp or go fishing. All the while you could probably find my husband in his plant room working away.

My husband (Jeramy) has the greenest thumb I know. Most days he can be found in what was our spare bedroom, but is now his personal green house. He is absolutely amazing with plants, and can get any plant to grow and thrive in our house. I have seen him take a plant from Home Depot that looks like it is about to die and turn it into one of the most beautiful things you have ever seen. On the few occasions that you can catch him outside of his plant room, he is probably playing with one of his new techno gadgets. He is also quite talented with new technology and has rebuilt his computer to be a work of art. I have told him on more than one occasion that he should build and sell computers, because he can turn something that looks and runs horribly into a lean, mean, gaming machine. Though you may think I am a little partial, and maybe I am, I feel he has real talent. Just don’t tell him, because it will definately go to his head. So that is a little about us, now let me explain our profile name a little.

Let me first start by saying that we have always been animal lovers and have had a cat, fish, and even rabbits, but had always wanted to have dogs. So when we purchased our first home in Jan. 2007 we both decided to go dog shopping. Not knowing what kind of dog we wanted, I was put in charge of what kind of dog we would get (my husband’s first mistake). The only condition that I was given was that it could not get too big(my husband’s second mistake). After a lot of research I decided on a Bassett Hound, with the excuse that they only get 12”-14” tall (what I didn’t tell him was that they get 55-60lbs and about 3’ long). He thought that was perfect, so we purchased our first dog, a male, lemon and white (that is light tan and white) that we named Bailey (since he looks like Bailey’s and cream). He quickly became our child, and has been spoiled like one ever since. The following year I had the brilliant idea that one dog was not enough, so I worked on my poor husband until he conceded to get another Bassett Hound. So in 2008 we found our female, lemon and white Bassett Hound, and named her Sissy. Who quickly became our second child. So that is where the profile name comes from. We have fallen in love with our Bassets’ and are truly Bassettmen.

Well thanks for stopping by our little site, I hope that you will not leave without leaving a comment to at least say “hi”. I will definitely return the favor.
Interests
Interests & Hobbies:
Well it depends on which one of us you ask. Stan loves to fish, mountain bike, and hike. Jeramy meanwhile can be found either in the garden or in his planet room working away.

We both love to camp, go to the beach, and play with our dogs.
Favorite Music:
Once again it depends on which one of us you ask. Jeramy is a pop queen and can be found listening (and sometimes singing along if no one is looking) to Cher, Britney, Lady GaGa, Justin Timberlake and the like. Also he is a huge Josh Groban fan. Stan on the other hand can be found listening to everything from Country, to Rock, to to Pop, and everything inbetween. There isn't very much that he can't listen to.
