We met by accident on a train station platform back in 1996 when Adam helped a woman coming from the airport with her luggage. She happened to be visiting Eric, and introduced us to each other. We became friends for awhile and the relationship progessed from there slowly but surely.

Adam is a biotechnologist for a scientific company and travels all over the East Coast, sometimes around the US. He likes Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy & American Idol. Ask him about his love of Maxfield Parrish. He enjoys a good glass or two of wine from California (old vine Red Zinfandel), Argentina (Malbec) or South Africa (Cabernet Sauvignon) as well as good pinot grigio from Italy, sauvignon blanc from New Zealand or the Loire Valley, pinot noir from Oregon & good caipirinhas. He loves his romantic comedies and also enjoys the director commentaries on the DVDs he owns or rents. He is well-traveled and speaks 3 languages fluently and can get by with several others when he's on the road for business. With his love of travel, he loves watching Globe Trekker, Travels with Rudy Maxa, Passport to Adventure, Travelscope, and of course, Rick Steve's Europe. He also likes learning about finance, investment, retirement and also cooking in the new kitchen in the house. That's why he's been watching America's Test Kitchen, Alton Brown's Good Eats, Sara's Secrets, Sandra Lee's Semi-Homemade, Paula Dean and other shows on the Food Network.

Eric is an architectural interior designer freelancing for local developers, general contractors and individual homeowners. His specialty is space planning & architectural details whether in renovation projects or new construction. He likes his Prison Break, Nip/Tuck, Mind of Mencia, Desperate Housewives, Rescue Me, Sex & the City, Tales of the City, Ab Fab, Life on the D-List with Kathy Griffin & This Old House. He also likes a good glass of foreign beer, microbrews, dirty martinis and especially his good cup (or two or three) of Columbian or Kona coffee for his morning pick-me-up. He is originally from coastal Georgia in the Golden Isles, a true Southern gentleman, and came up north crossing the Mason-Dixon line to Yankee territory (gasp!) for the variety of opportunities that the New York City Metro Area has to offer for his career. He is also a maniac when it comes to manual labor and doing house renovation & restoration. Put him in a room of power tools, and he starts to drool. Adam calls the house Eric's on-going affair! ;-) At least he knows where he's at most of the time, other than Home Depot, Lowes, flea markets or the Lighting District in the Bowery. LOL

We are primarily looking for friends to the places we travel. We had such a blast with our trip in 2005 to San Diego & San Francisco, Athens in FEB 2006 and Montreal/Quebec in AUG 2006 as well as the Colorado Rockies in JUN 2007 and meeting up with the locals and other visitors! Will you be next? :-)

Anyone want to hang out for drinks, dinner and/or be our personal tour guides for your town? How can we repay you for all your hospitality? ;-)

Please be in your late 20's to early 40's (guidelines only), so we can minimize the generation gap. We need to have some common interests, goals, values, chemistry & dynamics to click, right? If you can't sing some of the verses to those School House Rock songs, you're probably not in our generation or didn't have a TV growing up. No profile, not chat. No time for internet BS. We're pretty vanilla, since we don't go out clubbing every Saturday night. We're non-smokers and social drinkers. We're HIV negative, drug-free & disease-free and like to stay that way. We enjoy ourselves most when alone together or with family & friends.
