I'm Ron, a retired Graphic Designer; he's Warren, a retired Technical Writer. Now, we're finally what we always were!—an artist and a poet. We moved from San Francisco to the deep Virginia woods last year and are renovating an old house that's long been in the family. Had our first garden this year. We're lovin' it.

RON: Singer/songwriter, painter, gardner, cook, wood-worker. Love travel; lived in Paris, Dakar, even Burundi. I"m somewhat an iconoclast with progressive social views, and a huge bent toward environmentalism and sustainability. This lovely piece of land we live on is waaay to big for us— it was my grandparent's farm and is mostly wooded. We're open to sharing this place with some like-minded gay/lesbian-friendly souls who wish to live a life that's in balance. I dream of cottages in these woods, built with materials from these woods. A huge labyrinth is a field; a fire-circle where drums beat, pagan style. I could use some help. My partner's passion is poetry, and not spending all his time following my dream, as he has his own. I honor that.

Ron: Not reading so many books these days, except those about cabinet making, electrical wiring, plumbing gardening, composting, laying tile. etc. Naomi Wolf's "The End of America" and Byron Katie's "A Thousand Names for Joy" are some other books I'm reading.
WARREN: It changes with what I'm reading at the time or helps me write. Henri Cole, Jim Powell, Zbigniew Herbert, Tu Fu. Isaac Babel.

Both of us: "Weeds," the new "Real Blood," Amy Goodman's "Democracy Now."The Wire" was wonderful. The Sopranos, The Misfits come to mind. Some cooking shows. We don't watch a lot of TV and we're too deep in the woods to keep up with the movies. We do Netflix.
