Greetings everyone! More happenings at MeetGayCouples.com that we thought we'd share!
First of all, if it seems like lots of changes and updates lately, you're right -- there are! When we revamped our entire platform back in January, it was designed to enable us to add features and capabilities that we never had before. We're working fast and furious this year to enhance the site to make it more fun and interactive! Here's the lastest:
1. First, an updated home page this weekend features photos and links to 24 member couples. We've randomly selected couples based on either activity (they frequent the site regularly) or upgraded member status. The couples featured will rotate on occasion.
2. New Feature - Polls! Got an opinion, or what to know what other members think? Now you can participate in real-time polls. Anybody can vote in polls, but only upgraded members can create new polls. You can also add comments to polls! We hope you enjoy this new feature... we've kicked this off with a poll of our own: Should Hillary Stay in the Race, or Drop out now? Vote Here!
3. New Feature - Resource Center! A new home for the articles and news content on the site. Contributions from "The Gay Love Coach," "Kort's Corner" and "Body | Mind | Soul" will all be moving to the Resource Center, plus, we'll be adding new content of interest to gay couples and the LGBT community. We'll also be organizing these articles by subject so they're easier to search.
And here's the really cool news... now you'll be able to post a comment at the end of any of these articles, similar to popular bogging sites -- So don't be shy, share your opinions! And stop by the new Resource Center, new content is added daily!
4. Goodbye, Angelo! We're sad to say goodbye to the "Ask Angelo" column. Angelo is in demand these days with his private practice, personal appearances, and a recently released book. Unfortunatley, he's decided to end his popular advice column due to the demands of his other endeavors. We wish him well and will miss his column!
Finally, still gearing up for more upgrades to MeetGayCouples.com, so stay tuned and enjoy the site!
It's been a while since our last Blog entry, so here are a few tips and site updates:
1. Member's Last Logged In:
A few have inquired as to why sometimes when you login, you appear in the "Online Now" list, but your photo does not pop up in the "Members Last Logged In" box. This happens when you click on "remember me" and then do not "logout" (you simply close your browser or jump to another site when you leave MeetGayCouples.com).
Until you clear your "cookies" cache, or manually click on "Logout" when you leave the site, you will not appear in the "Members Last Logged In" box next time you visit the site. So it's best to click on "Remember me" to login (if you're prone to forgetting your passwords), and always click "Logout" when you exit the site!
2. Recently Added Photos.
Now you can get a quick look at new photos that have been added to Member Albums. Click on those photos to go directly to that member's Album.
3. Invite Friends!
More couples means more friends for everyone! Let's grow our couples community... now you can invite your couples friends who aren't yet members to join. Click the "Invite Friends" link in the menu bar and we'll send your pals an invitation to join MeetGayCouples.com.
4. New Upgrade Option.
Now you can upgrade for just $2 per month. Want to try out all the Premium Features, including Photo Albums, Blogs, Groups, Events, Classifieds and more? Upgrade with an easy subscription of $2 per month using PayPal. Cancel anytime to discontinue using the premium features.
That's it for now... we're busy working on several new enhancements at MeetGayCouples.com, so watch for some new features coming this Summer!

So you all may have noticed a Calendar on your profile page lately... just to update you, that's part of our newest features in MeetGayCouples.com Community Center.
Now you are able to add important dates to your own "Events Calendar." You can also send Invites to other couples to join you. Say for instance you want to plan a "gay couples" meet and greet in your town, you can post the event and send invites to other couple, and receive RSVP's. Or maybe you want to let others know when and where you're vacationing.... Cool, eh?
Also, we've getting launched the "Marketplace" soon. This enables you to post classified ads for items you want to sell or services you provide! Our own "craigslist" so to speak.
So start thinking about how you'll use these new features!
No, not hamburgers... A milestone for MeetGayCouples.com, earlier today we delivered our 2,000,000(th) page load! We're glad you're all a part of our site and the gay couples community... and we look forward to the next 2 million visits!
So here's a tasty new enhancement... We have now added a new "forum-style" threaded Discussion Board to every member Group!
Group members can start a discussion topic, or participate in an existing discussion topic, and all replies are threaded in order of posting date and time. Another great way to keep your group members engaged in group topics no matter when they login to the site!
About Groups: Only upgraded members can "create" new interest Groups. Any member can join a Group, depending on the group leader's approval. Some groups are private, some a public, just depends on what settings the group leader has chosen. A few groups you may be interested in joining: Gay Couple Travel Picks, Gay Dads, or Brokeback Friends...
