Eric used to live in Los Angeles, and we recently planned a trip to go see friends, hit the beach, relax, etc. The day we were to arrive was June 17th... which was also the first day for legal gay weddings in California! This had to be destiny! So, we found a little wedding chapel online, booked a time and got on the plane. We landed at LAX, and just a few hours later, we were on the cliffs at PV getting married! During the ceremony tourists were taking our pictures... I guess we were quite the attraction! Afterwards, we were starving to death, and had our "reception" dinner at Del Taco! :-) Now we have a legal document that says we are committed to each other! and rings on our hands for everyone to see. It's a great feeling, and we would recommend getting married to everyone.
A little about us... besides being married! We are just two regular guys living in the 'burbs (yup, gay guys can live in the suburbs!). We've been together for over five years. Eric is 36, a native Texan, and works in advertising. Drew is 28, originally from the Finger Lakes of Upstate New York, and manages a medical practice. We are pretty low-key. We like to go to cool restaurants, watch movies, travel, swimming, camping, attending our awesome church, and pretty much hang out with each other, our friends and family. Oh, and we like to go hiking and camping in the buff, whenever we can! Be sure to say hi, we are always looking for new friends!
CONGRATS on your marriage!! Wish you the two the best. We got married last on June 28th. So glad you guys came from Texas to California to get married. Right on! ;-)
